  • Mark Zuckerberg’s Fan Page Hacked

Posted on January 26th, 2011 anphase No comments

Well, isn’t this encouraging? The fan page of Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg,  just got hacked! The hacker posted the following on Zuckerberg’s page:

Let the hacking begin: If facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Price winner Muhammad Yunus described it? http://bit.ly/fs6rT3 What do you think? #hackercup2011”

Facebook quickly pulled the post but not before it got 1,803 likes! This follows the hacking of many other celebrity accounts  like the recent Selena Gomez Twitter and Facebook hacking, which included a YouTube video detailing how it was done. The moral to the story? No one is safe. Also, Twitter and Facebook really need to step their security game up. As we shift more and more into the cloud, we need to know that our information is safe. At present, it’s far from it. I wouldn’t trust any really confidential information to any online service just yet.
