Ever imagined multi-touch on the Samsung i8910? How about a graphically stunning user interface that uses Open GL ES 2.0 together with the sensors like the accelerometer on the i8910. Well, all that is happening with the coming of SPB Mobile Shell 5.0. The video demo below is the official MWC2010 video of SPB Mobile Shell 5.0, SPB UI Engine 5.0 and SPB UI Builder 2.0 by SPB Software.
Currently, the Samsung i8910 is the one of the few s60 5th edition devices that has the hardware acceleration to take full advantage of this software. None of the current Nokia Symbian offerings are capable of Open GL ES 2.0. This brings more hope for Omnia HD users after the recent disappointing update. It’s something to look forward to in coming months.
