More Symbian application

More Symbian applications

This is the second in a series of videos where I’m going to be looking at interesting Symbian applications for s60v5 on the Samsung i8910. The video and links for the applications tested are after the break. You can also download the apps from the bar-codes provided using the bar-code reader from the previous applications post.

1. The Symbian foundation theme can be downloaded from their website (thanks brower for the link) or you can download it directly using the bar-code reader from the previous applications post:

2. The Custom Dictionary application from Nokia Beta Labs can be obtained from their website. Note that you have to register with the website for free to get the application.

3. The Google Mobile App for Symbian can be downloaded by directing the browser on your phone to m.google.com and selecting the Google application. Note that you  need to use the built-in Symbian browser to download it, third party browsers like Opera Mobile won’t work(thanks MeGaBlitz). You can also point you bar-code reader to this bar-code:

4. You can download the Reuters Slideshow application from Easy-share. I don’t have the official link.

5. Download TuneWiki from their website or directly via the bar-code from here:

6. You can view and try out the mobile codes from the mobile codes page on this website, bookmark it too so you don’t forget :-).

So if you have more suggestions, please feel free to let me know in the comments. I wanted to try the SlideIt application from the Dasur website but both the apps they sent me (for n97 and 5800) didn’t work on the i8910. Those versions must be optimized  for resistive touchscreen Symbian phones only.
